Overview
Leyland Trade's Hardwearing Acrylic Eggshell is ideal for bathrooms, kitchens and areas of heavy traffic including commercial environments. It's durable, stain and moisture resistant. The easy to clean, mid sheen finish helps to hide imperfections and reflects some light. These factors give the paint a good deal of longevity. Use on walls, metal and wood, as well as interior wallboards, concrete, cement rendering, brickwork and blockwork.
Manufactured from high quality pigments and tough acrylic resin. Suitable for schools, hotels, hospitals, food stores and public buildings where its low odour, easy application and quick drying time mean the work can be done with a minimum of disruption. Brushes can be washed out in water.

Preparation
Make sure that the surface is clean, dry and grease-free and remove any loose or defective paint before applying the Leyland paint.
- Rub down any previously painted surfaces with a fine, waterproof sandpaper so that you get a good key. Take extra precautions when preparing surfaces containing pre-1960s paint over wood and metal, as they may contain harmful lead.
- Prime the surface if necessary, barewood and metal will need to be painted with a suitable primer.
Application
Always perform a test on a small inconspicuous area to ensure compatibility, and we recommend following the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.
- Stir well before use.
- If applying to an absorbent surface, thin the first coat where necessary to help application, being careful not to over-thin. Apply by brush, roller or spray. Apply two full coats, allowing 3-4 hours between coats under normal conditions.
- On some surfaces a third coat may be necessary. If spraying, thin with clean water as required, using up to approximately 0.5 litres of water to 5 litres of paint.
- Do not apply when air or surface temperature is under 10 ̊C. High humidity can extend the drying time.
